Hop-On Hop-Off Gozo Timetable

Check bus departure times for every stop and plan your day.

Understanding the Schedule

The Hop-On Hop-Off Gozo bus runs on a fixed timetable that varies by season. In the high season (roughly April to October), buses usually run more frequently—often every 30 to 60 minutes at main stops. In the low season, there may be fewer departures. The timetable is published in advance so you can plan your day: check the times for the stops you want to use, and allow for the fact that the bus follows a single loop, so the interval between buses at any one stop depends on the full circuit time (typically around 90 minutes) and how many buses are on the route.

Each stop has a scheduled departure time. We recommend arriving a few minutes early. If you miss a bus, wait for the next one; your ticket is valid all day. For the route and stop order, see the route map. For what to do at each place, our stops guide has the details.

Peak vs Low Season

During peak season (summer and Easter), more tourists visit Gozo and the hop-on hop-off service runs more often. You can expect buses at main stops every 30–60 minutes in many cases. In low season (winter), the number of departures may be reduced. Always check the current timetable before you travel, as times can change. Public holidays and special events may also affect the schedule. If you are visiting in winter, plan your stops carefully so you do not miss the last bus of the day.

How to Read the Timetable

The timetable is usually shown as a list of stops with departure times in columns (e.g. by hour). Find your stop in the left column, then read across to see when the bus leaves. Some operators provide a simple “first and last bus” time per stop, with a note that buses run at regular intervals in between. Others give every departure time. Use the timetable together with the route map to decide where to get off and how long you can spend there. For example, if buses are every 60 minutes at the Citadel stop, you have up to an hour to explore before the next bus—or you can stay longer and catch a later one.

Tips for a Smooth Day

Arrive early at the stop so you do not miss the bus. Have your ticket ready (on your phone or printed). If you are doing the full loop first, note the time you pass each stop so you know when you can expect the next bus when you hop off later. Keep the timetable saved on your phone or take a photo of the printed version at the stop. If you have questions, drivers and staff at main stops can usually help.
